The drawing and the painting in synergy to strengthen the plastic expression

While  going  for  a  walk


 Pace up and down the village, stop at the Post office square, you will notice on the wall of his father's, house the fresco made by his brother Kléber.

Building where Marceau was born on the secons floor.
This house was bought by his parents, his father opened a bakery there.
After his parents'death, Kléber will transform the place into a laboratory where they will make honey and royal jelly.

[ This place is nowadays occupied by the Speleologists.]


 Look above the Post office and you will notice the magnificent bell tower overcome by a cockerel.
In the angle of the street, a virgin is carved in stone.

Overlooking the village, the Church built by the Benedictine monks in 1119, is classified as "Historical Monument". It has two naves: one is Gothic, the other one is Roman extended by an altar and a bestiary of time [six polymorphic carved columns where animals and plants are mixed.]
The replica of the altar is at the "museum de l'Homme" in the Trocadero [Paris].


 A few steps from the Church is a mill dating 1835.


Direction : Lagarde d'Apt, discover the bastide where the maternal grandparents came to settle down. Now it is the farm-house "Esfournaiux", you can see deer in open field.
